The Community Music School of the Piedmont is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Katherine Jameson Piano Scholarship, named in honor of CMSP’s first piano teacher, Katherine Jameson. Since 2017, this scholarship has supported one deserving piano student each year. In 2026, CMSP is proud to expand the program by awarding merit scholarships to four outstanding students!

Congratulations to Charlie Hersh, Stephen Briscombe, Emma Fisher, and Michael Fisher! In their application essays, each student reflected thoughtfully on the importance of music and the meaningful impact it has had on their lives. These scholarships recognize not only musical achievement, but also dedication, growth, and a deep appreciation for music.
