The Community Music School of the Piedmont
Our Programs
At the Community Music School of the Piedmont, we offer a variety of music programs for students of all ages and skill levels. From private lessons to group classes, we have something for everyone.
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
—Plato
Private Lessons
Our private lessons are tailored to each individual student's needs and goals. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced musician, our experienced faculty will help you reach your full potential. Choose from our many instrument offerings including piano, cello, violin, viola, guitar, harp, flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, percussion, and organ. Suzuki instruction is available for piano, violin and cello.
Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning.
Summer Camps
We are excited to continue CMSP's Chamber Music & Orchestra Camp this June! If you or your child have an intermediate or advanced understanding of playing a string instrument, and are looking for a collaborative setting to learn fun music, then register today!
Community Outreach
The Community Music School of the Piedmont is dedicated to serving the wider community through outreach programs and performances. We believe that music has the power to bring people together and enrich our lives in countless ways. With the exception of our Candlelight Concert fundraiser, all events are free and open to all. Concert performances range from our own student recitals to hosting graduate performance recitals and regional chamber musicians. Additionally, we have an Instrument Petting Zoo available.
